CodeOutpost is a free service that allows you to create up to 5 HTTP redirects without restrictions.

This is a temporary demo so don't expect too much support or for this to be a long-term solution.

What's here

Follow the simple CLI instructions to create a key that will redirect to the URL that you specify. Once completed you can start using it immediately.

Use you redirect:
http://codeoutpost.com/x/[your-key]

It's that easy.

This api is completely open and free to use. There is no privacy or security. Use at your own risk.

Get Started

You can get started by running the following command in your terminal: 

curl -s https://codeoutpost.com/proxyrd-cli.txt | bash

Or you can download the script as plain text here

Then make it executable.

Use the CLI

Follow the guided instructions

  1. Add a new key.
  2. Very a list of all key and the URLs they redirect to.
  3. View the access log with client IPs for everyone who has used the system.
  4. View how many times each key has been used.

Collision Limitations

As a free demo it is your responsibility to supply a unique key for your redirect. If someone else uses the same key as you it will overwrite your redirect.

I would suggest you use a random string generator to create a unique key.

This project was for fun and should not sit at the crux of your business.

Remember! The API is completely open.

Not only can I see your IP address but I can also see the URL you are redirecting to and the IPs of anyone that uses your redirect. So can anyone else who runs the CLI.
